Each episode of the Stomping Grounds video series takes a documentary-style approach to exploring a new geographic locale, delving deeply into the local boating styles, traditions and stories that are unique to the area. Host Ryan McVinney interviews boaters about their local culture, history and the types of vessels that they use, exploring what key features make them the ideal watercraft for their purposes.

Stomping Grounds Background
Our Stomping Grounds series got its name from the common English phrase “stomping grounds”, meaning a favorite haunt or a place where locals regularly spend their time. The origin of the phrase Stomping Grounds lies in nature, where animals often stamp on and trample down grass and vegetation leaving behind marks and evidence of their migration and habitats. Just like animals, people have their own neck of the woods – their own favorite areas and special places they call home.

Full length episodes of Stomping Grounds are between 18-31 minutes, but smaller segments are available online on Boat Trader’s YouTube channel and through Boat Trader’s content library under the research section of the website. Stomping Grounds features all types of boats from all across the country in a wide variety of inland waterways, from coastal regions and oceans to inland lakes and rivers.
